What a great Year!
Since this is the time of the year when "the Year in Review" is popular...we thought we would give a brief review of what has happened since mommy last wrote.
We went to opening day of the State Fair! I loved the fair. I went through a kids farm where I got to milk a cow, plant carrots, ride a tractor, and have fun with mommy (grandpa is taking the pictures)!
In October, I enjoyed trick or treating as a Scarecrow. Mommy made my costume.
I also got to visit the pumpkin patch with Mommy's class and Ms. Marianne.
In November, I got to stay with Grandma and Grandpa Spurlock while mommy traveled to New Mexico on a school trip.
Then we visited Grandmother, Granddad and Uncle Greg for Thanksgiving. I helped Uncle Greg rake the leaves...well, actually I enjoyed playing in the piles of leaves he raked.
Then in December I got to visit Santa, which wasn't so much fun. He was pretty scary to be honest.
I warmed up to him as the season went along..."anta" is a great guy. He actually visited me at Grandma and Grandpa Spurlock's house. Mrs. Claus came too. They brought me a rocking horse and Curious George.
He came to my house on Christmas eve too. But this time, I didn't see him. He left me a train set - so much fun! He also gave me a laptop like mommy and daddy's and some car sets. What do you think of my pj's? SUPERMAN!
I am enjoying having mommy and daddy home this week for the holidays!
I am looking forward to the new year and the great adventures it will bring me and my family!

ONE BUSY SUMMER!!!!
You can see more of my great watering fun below...
Then we headed up to Bentonville, Arkansas (home of the loved WAL*MART) to visit my Grandma and Grandpa Spurlock and my Uncle Scot! My mom and dad let me stay a whole week with them (they went back to Texas and missed me bunches!)
Uncle Scot has a motorcycle, and he let me get on it with him!!!
I had a lot of fun with Uncle Scot and Grandma and Grandpa!!! I can't wait to go back!
Mom has more of these pictures below, too!
Then, we went up to Edmond, Oklahoma to see my Grandmother and Granddad Pesnell and Uncle Greg! My cousins Jacob and Daniel and Aunt Mary were there, too!
We got to watch fireworks and run outside with the dogs, Tasha and Duke. They even let me swim in the kiddie (doggie) pool everyday!
But...the one thing I loved the most...was picking strawberries with Uncle Greg.
After we picked strawberries, Uncle Greg let me help him water the strawberry patch!
As you can imagine...I REALLY enjoyed watering the strawberry patch, along with watering me and Uncle Greg, too!!! Oh what fun!!
Mommy put more pictures of my 4th of July trip below, too.
Well, it is WAY past my bedtime...so for now - goodnight!

Swim Day!
I had lots of fun swimming with mommy and daddy. Daddy is taking the pictures this time!
I can't wait to come back - this was so much fun.
Mommy and daddy can't wait to take me back too. I slept really good that night!

French Open 2028 Here I come!
My New Find!
Well, it was bound to happen sooner or later...
I found the inside of a cabinet this weekend! What fun I had climbing in and out of the cabinet. And know what I found inside...a hair dryer like mommy uses!
Mommy stayed close by, just in case I tried to get into something else (like the toilet cleaner). But I loved playing inside the cabinet!

"Our First Accident...
Well, we knew it would happen sometime, but I never knew how hard it would be to watch your son scream in agony over a busted lip. Let me tell you, he did a "bang up" job, too.
We were at our impact group (small Bible study group) and he was having a ball - playing with toys, running to and from mommy (oh, by the way - he's walking now). He came running over to where I was sitting (which was on a fireplace seat/hearth) and he tripped and banged into the edge of the hearth - HARD!
My first reaction was "Oh my, his TEETH - those things that have kept him up into the wee hours of the night cutting - YEAH, HIS TEETH!" I picked him and at first thought nothing major had happened to the mouth - then...the BLOOD started to gush! (I will stop there with the goory details.) Anyway, we eventually got the bleeding stopped and we didn't have to go to the ER (THANK GOD) but boy...does he have a fat lip now! I guess this is just the beginning.

Our Snowy Day
I have to admit that earlier this week we had our first snow, but I was not able to take him out and experience it - as it happened during the later hours of the night (and I was NOT going to wake a sleeping baby!). I was feeling very low on Tuesday morning - feeling like I had been a terrrible mother for not taking him out to experience his first snow. I bawled all the way to school - upset that I was working and not at home with him - playing with him in the snow. So, Marianne (our fantastic sitter/second mommy) had her son, Ryan, bundle up and take Peyton out in the snow with another little boy that she watches, too. He didn't care too much for the snow that day - but it wasn't nearly the great snow that we had today.
The size of these snowflakes today were amazing. I don't think I have ever seen such big flakes. I was so "giddy" coming home. I called Jon several times to make sure that he was ready to play in the snow - of course he was - what was I thinking? :) When I came home with Peyton, I felt just like a little kid again - SO EXCITED....let's go play in the snow!!!! We got all bundled up and went out and had the best time. Peyton just plopped down at one point and sat there and just played. He ate a bunch of the snow (cold stuff is always good for the teething...). Of course, the fun had to end...it was cold and Daddy made us come inside. That party pooper!
I know that fun was shared by all. It was great to see him enjoy the snow (and eat it, too). I can't wait until he is old enough to run and play and throw snowballs back at mommy and daddy! (...well, maybe I can...)

Mommy's First Blog...
Peyton - 2 days old
Wow! What joy he added to our lives on that glorious April day!
At 6 months, he was the light of our lives (and lit up everyone else's life, too)
What a HANDSOME Boy!!!
I am so blessed to be called "mommy" to this precious gift from God.
Until next time...
